Job Description Job Title: Trusts and Estates ParalegalLocation: Pittsburgh, PA 15222Salary/Payrate: $90K - $105K (some flex), bonus and AWESOME benefits!!!Work Environment: Hybrid (3 days WFH – Wednesday is anchor day)Term: Permanent / FulltimeBachelor's degree required: NoReferral Fee: $1,000 - should your referral start with our clientJOB DESCRIPTIONHighly reputable Law Firm client of AMS Legal Staffing is seeking a Trusts and Estates Paralegal with five (5) years of experience in researching Pennsylvania estate planning, trust, estate and probate law, drafts legal documents including estate planning documents, handles trust and estate administration, provides client consultations and manages administrative tasks on behalf of the supervising attorney. The Trust and Estates Paralegal will also draft and file accountings as well as death and fiduciary tax returns.OverviewCoordinate probate court filings and recordings, including research and familiarity with local rules and probate courtPrepare probate administration paperwork, including administration accounts, court petitions, orders, deeds, certifications, etc.Coordinate post-death non-probate administrationCommunicate with clients and professional advisors relating to routine acts of estate administrationPrepare Gift Tax, Estate Tax, and Fiduciary income tax returns.Input financial data to prepare and file accountingsWork with clients' financial advisors on proper titling of accounts.Prepare basic Estate Planning documents.Manage Estate Planning process through document signings.Education & Experience5+ years of experience working as a trust and estate paralegal with minimal supervisionHigh school diploma or GED – Bachelors degree or paralegal certificate preferredExperience in Pennsylvania probate administrationKnowledge of estate planning documents and conceptsExperience with OneSource Estate and Trust, and CCH ProSystems platform a plusMust know how to prepare gift tax, estate tax, and fiduciary income tax returnsExperience in local probate administration and with professional service vendors helpfulSelf-motivated, flexible, with exceptional follow-through skillsKnowledge & SkillsCandidate must have excellent communication skills both written and verbalStrong attention to detail, organizational skills and effective time managementSelf-motivated, flexible, with exceptional follow-through skillsProficient in Microsoft Office suiteCapable of independently managing multiple projectsIndividual in this position will provide additional assistance and support as directed by their supervisor.Candidate must be flexible and able to work in the office at a minimum 2-3 times a week.Job may require occasional travel to the firm's other offices
