Give us a call opt 1 Job Details: Shift: 12 H Day 48 Total Weekly Hours: 48 Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Trauma Level: Facility Specific Job Notes: Experience and Skills Required: - Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. - Travel experience is required. - PCU experience is a must. - Experience with patient ratios of 1:5-6. Certifications Required: - BLS (Basic Life Support) - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Licensure: - License must be in hand prior to the start date. Temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license applications have been submitted. Skills: - Proficiency with Cerner charting system is required. - Skills in telemetry, accessing/managing ports, central line care/management, PICC line management, managing vasoactive drips, PCA, titration of insulin drips, blood product administration, peripheral line care/management, starting and maintaining IVs, heparin protocols, and management of cardiac drips. - Comfort in working with team nursing, delegation, and fluctuating ratios. - Ability to function in a high-paced area with fluctuating ratios. Qualifications: - Must be comfortable with team nursing and delegation, especially with LPNs. - Must be able to float to a PCU inpatient unit. - Must work 2 out of the 3 major holidays. - Must be comfortable with varying patient ratios and high patient turnover. - Flu vaccine required, with medical/religious exemptions only. Additional Requirements: - At least two supervisor references required. - University must be accredited by the ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation. - Candidate must be able to work every other weekend. - Guaranteed hours vary depending on shift work.
