Job Title: Cloud Systems Engineer Location: 100% Onsite – Mason, OH area Salary Range: $120,000–$130,000 annually Visa Sponsorship / C2C / H1B: Not available Background/Reference Checks: RequiredRole OverviewThe Cloud Systems Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert across multiple projects, designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud-based solutions. This role is critical to optimizing performance, ensuring security, and driving efficiency in a complex enterprise cloud infrastructure. The engineer will work hands-on with technologies like Terraform, GitLab, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud strategies and best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesCloud Architecture & EngineeringDesign, develop, and deploy cloud solutions using Terraform, GitLab, and GCPManage and optimize cloud infrastructure for high availability and performanceAutomate cloud services and processes using scripting toolsMonitor system performance and troubleshoot reliability and security issuesCollaboration & StrategyDefine cloud strategies and requirements in partnership with cross-functional teamsImplement cost-effective cloud usage practicesEnsure compliance with organizational policies and industry standardsLeadership & MentorshipProvide technical expertise in cloud architectureMentor junior team members and contribute to team developmentRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field10+ years of experience in Information Technology5+ years in cloud engineering, with emphasis on large-scale cloud solutions (GCP required)4+ years in cloud networking and security architecture3+ years with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager)Experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)Proven troubleshooting and high-availability maintenance experienceFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesStrategic planning and roadmap development experiencePreferred QualificationsGoogle Professional Cloud Architect or Associate Cloud Engineer certificationInterview ProcessInitial screening with HR RecruiterTechnical interviewFinal interview with hiring manager #TECH #Onsite
