Test Technician (Vibration Testing)

Job Title: Test Technician Shift: 6:30am-3pm Must Have: experience working with 100X magnification micro-electronic parts. Vibration Testing - set up vibration plates Job Designation The Test Technician completes work in accordance with instructions, specifications, and procedures. Conducts a variety of tests and verifications on electro and electromechanical equipment, while providing accuracy, productivity, and on-time delivery. Job Core Responsibilities " Performs a range of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical testing of small parts or components in accordance with company instructions and procedures " Reviews shop traveler route card, or schematic drawings to confirm correct sequence of operation " Perform a variety of tests to verify circuitry and to test the effectiveness of components in amplifiers and electronic equipment. " Receive parts or units from customers and troubleshoot circuits and components using schematic drawings and prints as a verification check. " Perform tests and diagnostics using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVMs, signal generators, power meters, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, frequency counters, and other related test equipment " Sets up test equipment and tests per specification " Performs troubleshooting and failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry malfunctions to the micro component level " Provides detailed written failure description with root cause analysis to production and engineering " Follows written and verbal instructions, adheres to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures " Maintains a safe and clean work environment, an acceptable safety record and follows company safety rules " Other responsibilities as assigned " Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s,) and additional hours as necessary Job Specifications Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or equivalent experience in the related field Years of Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience Skills: " Strong electrical background with understanding of microelectronics. " Strong knowledge in testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instrument,s and mechanical assemblies " Good reading and comprehension skills to understand regulations and instructions " Ability to analyze and determine methods and procedures " Good oral and written communication skills and attention to detail " Proficient in Microsoft Windows software applications
