Visual Thinking Northwest values innovation, reliability, and a user-centered approach in all of its web and digital projects.Role Description The Web Developer is a full-time remote role responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining web applications and websites for Visual Thinking Northwest’s clients. In this role, you will implement responsive user interfaces, develop and integrate back-end functionality, and ensure sites perform efficiently across devices and browsers. You will collaborate with designers and project stakeholders to translate visual concepts and requirements into clean, maintainable code. Day-to-day tasks include coding, testing, debugging, optimizing performance, and deploying updates, as well as participating in code reviews and contributing to technical documentation. You will also help identify and implement improvements to usability, accessibility, and security across projects.Qualifications Strong skills in Front-End Development and Web Design, including building responsive, user-friendly interfaces.Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Programming to create, integrate, and maintain server-side functionality.Experience in end-to-end Web Development, covering site architecture, implementation, and maintenance.Knowledge of modern web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks, server-side languages, databases).Familiarity with version control systems (such as Git) and collaborative development workflows.Ability to write clean, well-documented, and testable code with attention to performance and security.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.Relevant education or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
