Job Title: Structural Steel Welder/Fitter/Fabricator (Direct Hire) Location: Mentor, OH Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected Hours: 40 – 55 hours per week Job Summary: Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking a skilled Structural Steel Welder/Fitter/Fabricator with a strong background in structural steel work. The ideal candidate will have experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, welding (MIG, Stick, TIG), and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. **This is a Direct Hire position with the company day 1. Structural Steel Welder/Fitter/Fabricator Key Responsibilities: Practice safe work habits and maintain a clean and organized work area. Fit up and fabricate steel components according to blueprints. Read, interpret, and apply blueprints accurately. Perform welding tasks using MIG, Stick, and TIG processes. Conduct inspections and adhere to Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) guidelines. Utilize equipment such as band saws, ironworkers, Bridgeports, and oxy-acetylene torches for cutting and fabrication. Operate overhead crane systems and tow motors/forklifts safely. Exhibit a high level of pride and attention to detail in all work tasks. Effectively problem-solve and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Maintain a positive work ethic and demonstrate reliable attendance. Provide own transportation with a valid driver's license. Structural Steel Welder/Fitter/Fabricator Preferred Qualifications: Proven experience in structural steel fitting/fabricating. Familiarity with the use of various fabrication tools and equipment.
