Full Stack Cloud Engineer (ITAR Program)Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid )Employment Type: Full-Time / ContractClient Environment: Aerospace, Defense, or Other Regulated IndustryPosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Cloud Engineer to join our team in the Seattle, Washington area. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable cloud-native applications and data integration solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise across backend development, frontend development, cloud architecture, DevOps, and modern software engineering practices.This position requires hands-on experience with AWS services, serverless technologies, data pipelines, CI/CD automation, and modern web application development using React and Node.js.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications using Python or Java, Node.js, and React.Architect and implement secure, highly available, and scalable solutions on AWS.Develop and maintain serverless applications using AWS services.Build and support data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines using AWS Glue and related technologies.Design and optimize database solutions leveraging AWS Aurora.Develop RESTful APIs and microservices to support enterprise applications.Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.Manage source control and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues through log analysis and root cause investigation.Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design discussions.Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.Follow secure coding standards and software development best practices.Required Technical SkillsBackend DevelopmentStrong proficiency in Python or JavaSolid experience with Node.jsExperience developing RESTful APIs and backend servicesStrong understanding of microservices architectureFrontend DevelopmentStrong hands-on experience with ReactExperience building responsive and modern web applicationsKnowledge of frontend optimization and performance tuningCloud TechnologiesDeep understanding of AWS ServicesExperience designing cloud-native applicationsExperience with Serverless ArchitectureHands-on experience with AWS GlueExperience with AWS AuroraStrong knowledge of cloud security principlesDevOps & AutomationExperience with TerraformStrong knowledge of GitLabExperience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with automated testing frameworks and deployment automationPreferred QualificationsExperience with Kiro or other AI-assisted software development platformsExperience with event-driven architecturesKnowledge of distributed systems and scalable application designExperience with observability, monitoring, and logging platformsFamiliarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and KubernetesExperience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsAdditional SkillsStrong debugging and troubleshooting capabilitiesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to collaborate effectively within global teamsAbility to work in a fast-paced engineering environmentEducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related fieldEquivalent work experience may be consideredITAR / Export Control RequirementsThis position supports projects that may be subject to U.S. export control regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).In compliance with federal regulations, applicants must be able to meet the applicable export control requirements.
