Travel Radiation Therapist

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT certification for a hospital Radiation Oncology department, delivering a full range of radiation therapy treatments including advanced modalities.Job Details• Work in a hospital Radiation Oncology department,• 13-week contract with a 40-hour work week, 5 days per week,• 8-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM,• Elekta linear accelerator experience preferred,Job Requirements• Graduation from a Radiation Therapy Technologist program approved by CAHEA required,• ARRT (Radiation Therapy) certification required,• NC state license required if applicable,• Two professional references required for consideration,Additional Information• Administer radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician instructions and individualized patient treatment plans,• Perform routine and complex treatments including total body irradiation, stereotactic radiosurgery, and low and high dose-rate brachytherapy,• Assist physicians, radiation oncologists, and clinical physicists in preparing physical and technical aspects of treatment plans,• Construct patient immobilization devices as ordered by physicians,• Enter data and set controls to operate, adjust, and regulate equipment and dosage,• Maintain patient and billing records in accordance with department policies, including radiation dosages, equipment settings, and patient reactions,• Perform quality assurance procedures per state and federal guidelines,• Provide on-the-job clinical instruction and evaluation for student radiation therapists,
