Role SummaryThe IT Systems & Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling the organization’s core technology infrastructure. This is a hands-on, mid-level role suited for someone who can operate independently while partnering closely with Studio Operations and CatFace leadership to implement reliable, scalable systems.This role will own day-to-day system performance across network, cloud, and production environments, organize existing infrastructure, and establish foundational processes. While highly autonomous, this position collaborates with leadership on emerging priorities and long-term improvements.Core ResponsibilitiesNetwork, Hardware & Cloud ManagementManage and maintain the organization's network infrastructure across hybrid office and remote environmentsSupport and optimize systems used for video production and post-production workflows, including shared storage, collaboration tools, and production-specific softwareManage cloud services and SaaS platform administration, including Microsoft 365/Google Workspace, storage, and production-specific toolsEnsure systems are reliable, available, and scalable to support organizational growthSecurity-Informed Systems ManagementImplement and enforce access controls, MFA requirements, and endpoint protection standards across all systemsCreate and implement user onboarding and offboarding procedures to ensure access is provisioned and revoked appropriatelyMonitor for vulnerabilities and ensure systems are patched and updated on a regular cadenceSupport the development and enforcement of security policies aligned with organizational needs and risk profileOperational Support & VisibilityCoordinate with the Office Administrator on hardware procurement, equipment setup, and device lifecycle tracking to ensure accurate and up-to-date asset inventory across the organizationBuild and configure workstations and ensure new hardware is properly supplied and documented before employee assignmentServe as the escalation point for unresolved technical issues across the organization, providing hands-on troubleshooting support where needed for everything from daily office use to live productionSupport conference room and shared workspace technology to ensure continual reliability, including but not limited to AV, connectivity, and peripheralsOver time, build the systems, documentation, and processes that reduce reactive support demand and free bandwidth for infrastructure development with existing and emerging technologiesVendor Management & LicensingMaintain a centralized registry of all technology vendor relationships, including contract terms, renewal timelines, and associated costsProvide technical input and recommendations during vendor evaluations and procurement decisionsProactively flag upcoming renewals, identify cost optimization opportunities, and provide recommendations on consolidation or replacementPartner with CatFace Leadership on procurement decisions to ensure technology needs and organizational priorities remain alignedCross-Departmental CoordinationServe as the primary daily technology point of contact company-wide; maintain workflow flexibility in order to assist with unexpected issuesPartner with department heads to understand technology needs and prioritiesMaintain open coordination with Administration on technology budget and spend visibilityReport to Studio Operations Director on infrastructure status, priorities, and risksInfrastructure Documentation & StandardsMaintain a live database of all software tools, SaaS subscriptions, hardware assets, vendor relationships, configurations, and workflows across every departmentDocument current licensing status, costs, renewal dates, and access permissions for all systemsMap all user access across platforms — who has access to what, at what permission level, with what offboarding procedures in placeProduce a documented infrastructure baseline and present findings and recommendations to Studio Operations and CatFace leadershipCollaborate with Studio Operations to create and maintain guidelines for common IT operationsContribute to the development of scalable IT processes that support organizational growthWhat We OfferExcellent Medical, Dental and Vision health benefits401(k) contributionFlexible time offLunch, snacks and drinks provided in the officePets in the office once a monthOnsite fitness centerLearning StipendRelocation assistance for those coming from outside Austin.Reports to: Studio Operations ManagerSalary/Wages: $75,000-$90,000 depending on experienceLocation: Austin, TXClassification: Exempt/Non-ExemptThe job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
