Seeking Banquet / Sous Chef

Finley Catering, Inc. currently operates 5 event locations. Three of the event spaces are located in center city Philadelphia and the 4th and/sous 5th space are located just outside of Philadelphia in Newtown Square, PA. Please visit our website Finleycatering.com to view our venues and types of events. We are seeking a banquet chef/sous chef to oversee and design banquet meals. The job includes ordering food, hiring kitchen staff, food preparation, coordinating the timing of food presentation with the front of the house and ensuring that the presentation of each dish is of the highest quality. You will manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff, ensuring that all food is prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner. In addition to your culinary skills, you will need to have excellent organizational and leadership abilities, You will need to be able to manage mulitple projects simultaneously, while also delegating tasks and responsibilities to your team members. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, as well as a deep knowledge of various cooking techniques and ingredients. You will also work with the sales team and front of the house managers ensuring that each and every event has top quality food served in a professional and timely manner.
