Analyst, FHA Production Support
Purpose And Job SummaryThe Analyst supports various loan production and underwriting functions, including: review of third-party reports, underwriting analysis, oversight of FHA Multifamily loan applications, document collection and transmittal, and internal deal coordination processes. Works directly with underwriters, loan originators, clients, and vendors as necessary throughout the loan process.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesSupport FHA Multifamily Origination Screening to include, but not limited to:Being well versed in the various Excel-based screening and underwriting modelsDetermining appropriate level of due diligence required to complete a thorough loan screeningCompleting models to determine loan sizings that meet programmatic requirements are met and are in compliance with the applicable loan executionAssist underwriters by providing daily oversight of FHA multifamily loan applicationsParticipate in internal deal coordination to include, but not limited to:Engagement and coordination of third-party reportsCreation and collection of due diligence needs listReviewing application due diligence for completeness and accuracyAdministrative transaction organization (expense tracking, deal folder completeness)Creation of complete and deficiency free application submissions to HUDCommunicate clearly with borrowers, third party providers, originators, underwriters, and others to facilitate transaction flow.Develop the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare credit request presentations for FHA transactionsBecome well versed in all applicable Commercial Real Estate policies and procedures by reading and studying FHA MAP Guide, relevant FHA documentation, and any underwriting and processing guidelinesEnsure work product adheres to Lument policies, processes, and proceduresAttend trainings and courses in additional education as prescribedWork professionally and harmoniously with team and coworkersPosition may require travel on a minimal basisOther projects and duties as assignedEducation, Skills And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, real estate, or related field required1-2 years of experience in real estate related financial analysis for a lending institution, brokerage firm, or investment firm preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Microsoft ExcelDemonstration of a strong work ethic, ambition, teamwork, creativity, aptitude for accuracy and detail, and sound ethical conductFlexibility and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, and to adjust priorities in a changing environmentExcellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to use discretion in the performance of daily activitiesAbility to synthesize large amounts of information into clearly articulated credit and business recommendations both verbally and in writingInitiative and strong sense of personal motivation as well as responsibilityAnnual base salary gross: $70,000 - $90,000 (NY only). The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end of the ORIX USA’s salary for this position. Actual base salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base pay is one component of ORIX USA’s total compensation package for employees.
