We work to build strong relationships with our clients that promote trust, cooperation and teamwork.General Description: The Surveying Project Manager is responsible for overseeing field and office staff, ensuring project accuracy and quality, maintaining client relationships, and delivering projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities:Manage multiple land surveying projects, including boundary, topographic, construction staking, and ALTA/NSPS surveysOversee survey field crews and office technicians, providing direction, scheduling, and quality controlReview and certify survey data, plats, and legal descriptions for accuracy and complianceServe as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal engineering teamsPrepare project proposals, scopes, budgets, and schedulesEnsure compliance with state and local regulations and surveying standardsCoordinate with civil engineers, planners, and other stakeholdersMentor junior staff and support professional developmentImplement and maintain safety standards for field operationsOther duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesDemonstrated experience managing projects and leading teamsStrong knowledge of survey equipment, GPS, total stations, and data collection softwareProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related surveying softwareExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExperience with drone/UAS surveying and LiDAR technologiesFamiliarity with Wisconsin DOT standards and municipal requirementsBusiness development or client relationship experience Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field5-10+ years of progressive experience in land surveying License or Certification Requirements:Valid driver's license is requiredProfessional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Wisconsin (required or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe) Physical Requirements:This position requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 poundsBe able to walk and climb over rough terrain PPE Requirements:Hi-Visibility clothing should be worn on job sites and in the field as necessary.
