We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsRole Summary: Evaluates patients, develops care plan to treat patients, uses procedures and techniques to change condition/function consistent with the rehabilitation diagnosis and prognosis, supervises and coordinates therapeutic care and communicates evaluation results to patients, families and appropriate staff. Teaches and mentors other staff and participates in the management of resources for patient care and organizational improvement. May provide services off-site within the scope of the job description as needed by the department.Your role will include:Evaluating communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities using structured assessments, standardized tools, and clinical observationDeveloping and adjusting individualized treatment plans that support communication clarity, safe swallowing, and functional progressDocumenting evaluations, daily notes, progress updates, and discharge summaries with accuracy and timelinessEducating patients and families on therapy goals, safety recommendations, home strategies, and expected progressCollaborating with physicians, nursing teams, rehabilitation staff, and care managers to support coordinated care and smooth transitionsWhat qualifications you will need:Required Education: Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology, or Communication Disorders, or Communication Sciences and DisordersPreferred Education: NoneRequired License/Certification: Current North Carolina License to practice Speech Therapy, ASHA certification, and BLS Healthcare ProviderPreferred License: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFYRequired Experience: None required - new graduate eligiblePreferred Experience: Clinical affiliations having a wide variety of acute care procedures, especially videofluorgraphic swallow evaluations and non-instrumental swallow evaluations.
