Payroll/HR Specialist

Payroll/HR Specialist LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll/HR Specialist to join our client's growing financial services organization in La Mesa. This role is responsible for managing full-cycle, multi-state payroll while supporting key human resources functions. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of payroll regulations, compliance, and HR best practices, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Process full-cycle, multi-state payroll for employees accurately and on time Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax regulations Maintain and update employee payroll records, deductions, and benefits Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies Partner with HR to support onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes Assist with benefits administration and employee inquiries Prepare payroll reports for leadership and audits Support HR compliance, policies, and documentation Qualifications: 2+ years of multi-state, full-cycle payroll experience Strong understanding of payroll systems and HRIS platforms Knowledge of wage and hour laws and payroll tax regulations High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Position Details: Onsite work schedule Direct hire role Compensation: $70,000-$80,000 annually DOE Located in La Mesa, San Diego Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm PST Join a collaborative team where your expertise will make an immediate impact!
