We're looking for a skilled Lead Carpenter who takes pride in their work and enjoys building beautiful spaces for our clients through renovation. Position OverviewThe Lead Carpenter will work on a variety of residential renovation projects including kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and additions. This role requires strong carpentry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with our team, and lead a crew of 2-3 at times.Carpenters are expected to maintain a clean, organized job site and represent the company professionally when interacting with homeowners. ResponsibilitiesPerform residential carpentry tasks including framing, blocking, drywall repair, trim carpentry, cabinetry installation, and finish workAssist with demolition, layout, and jobsite preparationInstall doors, windows, trim, and other architectural detailsRead and interpret plans, drawings, and specificationsWork with project managers and other trades to keep projects on scheduleMaintain clean, organized, and safe job sitesCommunicate professionally with clients when working in occupied homesIdentify potential issues and help solve problems on siteCare for and maintain company tools and equipment Qualifications5+ years carpentry experience (remodeling preferred)Strong knowledge of residential construction practicesAbility to perform both rough and finish carpentryAbility to read construction drawings and plansExcellent attention to detail and craftsmanshipAbility to work independently and manage tasks efficientlyValid driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders Preferred QualificationsExperience with kitchen and bathroom remodelsExperience installing cabinetry and detailed millworkBasic understanding of plumbing, mechanical and electrical coordinationExperience working in occupied homesCompany DescriptionRevel Design Build is a design-build remodeling company serving Oakland County, Michigan.
