Boat Manufacturing, Gel Coat Applicator, Painter & Gel Coat Repair

Overview We are seeking a gelcoat applicator for in-mold boat manufacturing applications. Some painting is required along with gelcoat repairs on injured boats. After parts are sprayed with gelcoat, employee will help skin coat parts and dry load molds for resin infustion. *Responsibilities* - Apply coatings using various methods such as spraying, rolling, or brushing - Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, or masking - Operate equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes as needed. - Perform industrial painting tasks in accordance with specifications - Conduct quality checks on finished work to ensure adherence to standards *Skills* - Experience in marine gelcoat applications, gelcoat repairs on exising boats Proficiency with hand tools for surface preparation and application - Basic math skills for measuring and mixing coatings accurately - Ability to operate machinery like cranes and forklifts safely - Able to stay on task and reach necessary deadlines. Qualifications - Proficiency in using power tools and airless paint spraying equipment - Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting - Ability to assemble, fabricate, and machine components effectively - Basic math skills for measurements and calculations - Experience in boat repair is a plus Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week Schedule: 10 hour shift 4x10 No nights Overtime Weekends as needed Supplemental Pay: Bonus opportunities Overtime pay Performance bonus People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Experience: Gel Coat: 4 years (Required) Boat Repair: 4 years (Required) License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Work Location: In person
