Job OverviewAs a Chemistry Lab Supervisor on our Manufacturing Engineering team, you will:Lead and oversee laboratory operations supporting plating processesEnsure chemical baths meet required specifications for production qualityDrive continuous improvement through data analysis and process optimizationOversee local wastewater treatment system and hazardous waste shipments ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily lab activities, including analysis of plating baths, waste treatment, and process solutionsMaintain and optimize plating chemistries (e.g., nickel, tin, precious metals)Maintain wastewater treatment systemPrecious metal accountabilityEnsure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations (EPA, OSHA, etc.)Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for lab testing and reportingCollaborate with engineering and production teams on process improvements and validationsManage chemical inventory and vendor relationshipsTrain and mentor lab technicians and ensure proper documentation practicesWhat Your Background Should Look LikeBachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience in electroplating or surface finishing operationsStrong knowledge of wet chemistry, titrations, and analytical techniquesExperience with plating processes such as electroplating and surface treatmentFamiliarity with environmental compliance and wastewater treatment systemsStrong problem-solving and data analysis skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environmentCompetenciesValues: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, TeamworkAbout Te ConnectivityTE Connectivity plc (NYSE: TEL) is a global industrial technology leader creating a safer, sustainable, productive, and connected future.
