Role Summary3rd Shift Production SupervisorMANN+HUMMELOnsite - Portage, MIThe 3rd Shift Production Supervisor is a hands-on manufacturing leader responsible for running daily operation in a designated production area. The role oversees staffing and attendace, assigns work, and ensure output meets production schedules and customer shipment needs while maintaing quality across the full manufacturing process. The role coordinates machine setups and changeovers, manages production records, and ensure compliance with safety, sustainability, and relevant quality environmental standards(EMS), including ISO, and TS. Experience in plastic injection molding, component assembly, and visual manufacturing systems is especially valuable.Main TasksManage and control the day-to-day activities for an assigned shift within a production zonePlanning, review and approve dailty attendance records, assigning, and directing workEnsure the production activities are in line with the production plan and deadlinesUnderstand and develop plans to produce parts in accordance with customer schedules and shipmentsEnsure strict adherence to Mann+Hummel quality procedures and compliance to all customer requirements during the complete production processSupport the process collaboration with the Production Manager to ensure that quality standards are metEnsure the quality approval of the products by the quality inspectors and implement corrective actions as neededImplement, coordinate, and control cleanlinessand the order of the production area activitiesEnsure that machines/equipment are properly used and maintainedManage the total product maintenance process control for loss and damages of the equipmentEnsure changeovers and machine setup are executed in a timely and efficient manner ProfileEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Additional coursework, certifications, or training in business, engineering, or a related field is a plus.Relevant work experience may be considered in liue of formal education. Skills & CompetenciesProficiency in Microsoft applicationsBe able to lead a team in a fast paced and pressured environmentAbility to follow department proceduresEffective communication skills, both verbal and writtenMust be able to work a flexible schedule to meet production demandsStrong organizational skillsAbility to influence others by using practical judgement Preferred Experience3-5 years of leadership in a supervisory role in manufacturing or production environmentExperience in plastic injection molding and/or component assemblyVisual manufacturing experience including KanBan, Takt Time, Visual Work InstructionsExperience in automotive and/or aerospace industries
