SummaryA seasoned bioinformatics data engineer with strong knowledge and hands-on experience in bioinformatics data analytics, knowledge management, data engineering, cloud computing, as well as data platform design and development.QualificationsEducation:Master's or higher degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science/Engineering or related field with five (5) years of experience in genomic data analysis and software development.Experience:Hands-on experience in human genetics/multi-omics data analysis and software development especially in next-generation sequencing dataHands-on experience in data ETL, data management, and data sharing for bioinformatics applications, especially for next generation sequencing dataHands-on experience with databases, including SQL and no-SQLHands-on experience with scripting language, such as Bash and PythonHands-on experience in cloud platform (Azure) and commercial data platforms (data lakehouse/data warehouse)Experience in NGS bioinformatics analysis including variant detection, annotation and classificationFamiliarity with advanced data visualization techniquesFamiliarity with commercial/open-source data analytical platformsDemonstrated competency in statistical programming such as R and Matlab is a plus.DevOps experience such as unit testing, CI/CD is a plus.Strong curiosity and the ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-changing environmentDuties And ResponsibilitiesServes as the SME in bioinformatics data analysis, ETL, management and engineering.
