The Oregon Cultural Trust is quickly approaching our busiest season, and we need customer and administrative support to talk with donors, track donations, and assist with other marketing projects. We are currently hiring a Temporary Office Specialist 2. This full-time temporary position will end on February 28, 2025. The Arts and Culture Program of Business Oregon is a vibrant sector of Oregon's economy. The Arts and Culture team plays a key role in community cultural development and making grants to artists, cultural nonprofits, cultural partners, and county and tribal coalitions. Note: This position is in-person and reports to our Salem office. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. There is some flexibility with start and end times. What you will do: Assist Trust Administrative Assistant and staff with answering phones during busy donation season including taking donations over the phone. Assist Trust Administrative Assistant and staff with spreadsheet creation in preparation for data entry. Perform data entry of donations. Assist Trust staff with organizing incoming daily mail and outgoing mailings to donors. Assist Trust Administrative Assistant and staff with donation processing. Support Trust staff in keeping data management current including verified Cultural Nonprofit requests current, and donor status updates. Fulfill all marketing requests including logging into spreadsheet. Perform communication research as time allows between processing donations. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of some or all of the following skills: Experience providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively and timely with internal and external customers in-person, by email, and/or phone. Experience providing administration support in a professional environment. Experience (intermediate to high-level) with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience (intermediate to high-level) with data entry. Experience with writing, editing, and tracking information. What you need to qualify: Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR An associate degree in any field; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.
