Role Description This part-time, on-site Physician Assistant role involves delivering comprehensive care to patients at our clinic in Locust Grove, VA. Responsibilities include conducting physical exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications. The Physician Assistant will collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and follow treatment plans, educate patients about preventative care and healthy lifestyle choices, and maintain detailed patient records to ensure high-quality care. Qualifications Proficiency in conducting patient assessments, physical exams, and developing treatment plans.Experience in diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, with the ability to order and interpret diagnostic tests.Skills in patient education, including preventative care, medication management, and fostering healthy lifestyle choices.Strong oral and written communication skills for effectively interacting with diverse patients and collaborating with the healthcare team.Ability to maintain detailed and accurate medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.Current certification as a Physician Assistant and licensure in the state of Virginia.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus.Prior experience in primary or urgent care settings is preferred but not required.
