Project Manager - Industrial Hygiene & Safety Location: San Diego, California- Hybrid/Remote A growing environmental health & safety consulting organization is seeking an experienced Consultant / Project Manager to support Industrial Hygiene & Safety (IH&S) initiatives throughout the Southern California region. This individual will play a key role supporting client projects across multiple industries including commercial construction, higher education, healthcare, biotechnology, manufacturing, and property management environments. This role offers a combination of technical project execution, client relationship management, and business development responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing environmental health & safety projects while supporting client-facing consulting efforts. The selected professional may function as the lead project manager on assigned work or support larger project teams in both consulting and onsite staff augmentation capacities. Key ResponsibilitiesManage and support a variety of Industrial Hygiene & Safety projectsInterface directly with existing clients and prospective customers regarding project needs and solutionsAssist with proposal preparation and scope developmentConduct moisture intrusion and microbial investigationsPerform safety inspections, assessments, and field evaluationsDevelop and deliver EHS-related training programsPrepare technical reports, compliance documentation, and written safety programsProvide onsite EHS consulting support at client facilitiesCoordinate schedules, resources, and deliverables across multiple active projects Desired Qualifications5-10+ years of Environmental Health & Safety experience with emphasis in Industrial Hygiene and/or SafetyDemonstrated project management experience within consulting, industrial, or construction-related environmentsExperience conducting EHS assessments, investigations, inspections, or compliance evaluationsFamiliarity with industrial hygiene sampling methods including air sampling, surface sampling, and microbial investigationsExperience utilizing IH instrumentation such as:Sound level metersNoise dosimetersMoisture metersInfrared camerasAir sampling pumpsAnemometersStrong technical writing and reporting capabilitiesPrior experience supporting industries such as:ConstructionHigher EducationHealthcare / Life SciencesCommercial Property ManagementManufacturing / Industrial Required SkillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to support multiple technical service lines simultaneouslyStrong organizational and client management skillsAbility to work independently as well as within collaborative project teamsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and WordAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently in fast-paced environments EducationBachelor's degree or higher in:Industrial HygieneOccupational Health & SafetyPublic HealthEnvironmental ScienceOr related scientific discipline Additional RequirementsAbility to lift up to 25 poundsAbility to work occasional evenings or weekends as project needs requireValid driver's license and reliable transportation requiredWillingness to travel throughout Southern CaliforniaOccasional overnight travel may be requiredAbility to successfully pass background screenings for client site access Preferred CertificationsCIH certification or active progression toward CIH preferredAdditional EHS-related certifications are a plus Compensation: $95,000 - $120,000 annually Equal Opportunity Employer Our company is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
