Design Engineering Technician Assistant
Build what powers tomorrow-join Intervala, where advanced electronics manufacturing meets innovation, precision, and purpose.We are seeking a hands-on Design Engineering Technician Assistant to support our Design Engineering team in the development, testing, and refinement of electronic products. This role plays a key part in bridging engineering and production by assisting with prototype builds, documentation, component handling, and product modifications.The ideal candidate has strong soldering skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform soldering and rework on through-hole and SMT components to support design changes and repairsAssist with engineering documentation including Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical findings, and work instructionsSupport procurement activities by sourcing, ordering, and tracking components and materialsRemove and install PCBAs into chassis for testing and developmentAssist with material handling and product transfers within engineering and productionOperate and support 3D printing for prototyping activitiesCollaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to communicate priorities and project updatesPrepare documentation for design reviews and engineering discussionsSupport prototype builds and product development efforts as neededFollow all general team member requirements, including safety and quality standardsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering or electronics manufacturing environmentSoldering experience (through-hole and SMT) or the ability to quickly develop these skillsPreferred QualificationsAssociate's degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related fieldFamiliarity with IPC-A-620 standardsKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong soldering and rework capabilitiesBasic understanding of electronic circuits and mechanical systemsKnowledge of ESD practices and handling of PCBAsAbility to read or learn schematics and wiring diagramsFamiliarity with electronic test equipment (e.g., multimeter)Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong attention to detail and commitment to qualityEffective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionallyAbility to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to learn new tools and technologies, including 3D printingWhy You'll Love Working HereCompetitive pay and great benefits- including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time offBe part of a company that's growing, changing, and full of new opportunitiesA supportive, team-focused culture where your ideas matterMeaningful work that impacts industries making a difference in the worldIntervala utilizes and/or develops certain technologies which are subject to the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) or the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).Intervala is required to verify the status of all employees to determine whether each employee is a U.S. Person or a Foreign Person for the purposes of determining if an export authorization is required to approve an employee's access to export-controlled items, not as a condition for hire.Equal Opportunity Employer
