Metal Rack Repair / Fabrication TechnicianWe are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Metal Rack Repair / Fabrication Technician to join our team. This role involves repairing, modifying, and fabricating metal rack systems, with a strong focus on MIG welding and quality workmanship. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working with metal, takes pride in craftsmanship, and can work independently with minimal supervision. Key ResponsibilitiesRepair and modify metal rack systems to meet customer specifications Perform MIG welding (approximately 50% of the role) Inspect returned racks and assess repair or modification needs Weld assemblies to meet quality and safety standards Set up and operate MIG welding equipment Use bolts, clamps, and tack welds to secure materials during fabrication Conduct final inspections and perform touch-ups as needed Accurately track materials used, quantities, and time in the system Operate forklifts to move materials safely Follow all safety policies and standard operating procedures Travel to customer sites as needed to complete repairs Perform additional duties as assigned QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required 13 years of related experience or training in welding/fabrication Experience with MIG welding required Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) Strong attention to detail and quality standards Skills & AbilitiesAbility to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Good communication skills for team and customer interaction Physical ability to lift, move, and work with large metal components Comfortable working with heavy equipment and tools What We're Looking ForDependable and consistent attendance Self-motivated and able to work with little direction Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
