Leave Management Specialist
Care Initiatives is seeking a Leave Management Specialist to join our human resources team. As the largest single operator of quality nursing homes in Iowa, Care Initiatives has over forty (40) skilled nursing communities, seven (7) hospice offices (and growing!), plus our own internal staffing agency. What you'd do as a Leave Management Specialist at Care Initiatives:
Leave Management: Handles all day-to-day aspects of team member leave, including but not limited to reporting, answering questions, resolving issues, providing team members information, work with our third-party administrator, coordinate with the workers compensation team, assist with coordinating accommodations. Escalates issues to the Director of Human Resources.
Benefits & Payroll: coordinates pay updates, manages premium deductions and payments, misc. pay adjustments. Assists with monitoring access, answering questions, following up on issues, auditing, etc., on pay and benefits.
Responsible for assisting the director of human resources with managing the HR responsibilities for the home office team members.
What it takes to become a Leave Management Specialist with Care Initiatives:
Associate degree in human resources, or related field preferred.
2-4 years of administrative or human resources experience. HR experience is highly desired.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Friendly, approachable, and service-oriented.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
A very detailed-oriented individual.
Above average skills with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, OneDrive and Outlook.
