This position is ideal for detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced hands-on environment and want to contribute to a mission-driven company.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAble to perform all Post Harvest Technician I and II job dutiesParticipates in harvesting, intaking, drying, curing, trimming, machine operation, and transfer of cannabis materialBecome proficient in the setup, adjustment, and operations of all equipment in the facilitiesPerform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems detectedWork with others to ensure that equipment is in proper working orderResponsible for running, maintaining, and cleaning of the machineryAttention to detail to ensure the machine is properly cared for and the environment is held to food safety standardsDefoliation of the plants as neededMaintain compliance using a centralized tracking systemDocumenting testing results through reports and logsInputting data into the company databaseContinual quality control assessment as product moves through the processMaintaining and operating all equipment in accordance with standard operating proceduresWeighing and disposing of all plant waste materialEnsure that material and/or products are processed and prepared by following SOP and/or cGMP standards of cleanliness and hygieneEnsure all material and/or product is accounted for according to company policy and proceduresSweep, mop, vacuum, and bag any excess plant material leaving the work areas cleanClean, sanitize, and store all equipment upon useObserve and follow company safety rules and regulationsPerform various manual cross department job duties as neededEnsure an overall positive, safe and clean environmentOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSMust be proficient and achieve goals in all Post Harvest Technician I and II skill assessmentsMust be active in the Post Harvest Technician II role for minimum of 6 months to qualify for Post Harvest Technician III roleKnowledge and understanding of cannabis handling including harvesting, drying, curing, and trimmingMaintain good discipline and attendance standardsAbility to work hands on with cannabis plant material dailyAbility to be flexible and work in various sectors of the production department as needed/requested by the direct supervisorAbility to work as a team unit while completing tasks and creating constructive collaboration with members of other departmentsCreate a proactive environment while maintaining a positive attitudeSelf-motivated, innovative, and a team playerExcellent time management skills, driving efficiency and productivity to ensure goals are consistently met while maintaining high quality finished productRemain compliant with all legal and company regulationsComfortable with Outlook, Excel, and WordADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMust be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)High school diploma or equivalent requiredMust have valid Driver's License or ability to obtain oneMust pass a level 2 background screeningPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details.
