Ventures is seeking a full-time Tile Setter for an on-site role located in Rochester, NY. Responsibilities include preparing and cleaning surfaces, measuring and cutting tiles, applying mortar or adhesives, and accurately laying out tiles to create visually appealing designs. The Tile Setter will work with materials such as mosaics, ceramic, flooring, tiling, and marble while ensuring consistent quality and adherence to project specifications.The role also requires experience with traditional tile-setting techniques, including mortar bed installations and screeding. Candidates must have experience building and screeding pitched shower pans to ensure proper drainage, and be capable of executing precise mud work for flat, level, and long-lasting installations.QualificationsExperience in handling and installing mosaics and ceramic tilesProficiency in flooring and tiling techniques with attention to detailKnowledge of working with marble for custom finishes and high-quality resultsStrong physical stamina and ability to work on-site with tools and equipmentGood problem-solving and spatial awareness abilitiesAttention to safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized workspaceShower pan experience requiredPrevious experience as a Tile Setter or in a related role is preferredAbility to read and interpret blueprints and layouts is a plus
