We Own It!Responsibilities:Quantity/Cost Take-OffsDevelops accurate and concise clarifications and assumptionsIdentifies conflicts/missing data and obtains clarification on plans and specifications from design professionalsDistribution of bid documentsDevelops unit costsAdvances knowledge in building designs, systems, and construction materials through available resourcesUnderstands the project/program and its requirementsObtain and review proposals and quotes by subcontractors or vendorsDetailed review of all documents including specifications for identification of onerous requirementsBuilds relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, architects, etc.)Requirements:Generally requires 3 to 5+ years of estimating experienceBS/BA in engineering, construction science, architecture, or relevant discipline strongly preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experienceFamiliarity with construction materials, means, and methodsStrong math and technology ability with an analytical mindsetProficient in relevant estimating and quantity take-off softwareOutstanding communication and negotiation abilitiesThoroughness and reliabilityExcellent organizational skillsApplicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
