Kelly is hiring a Lab Technician II for one of our clients in Houston, TX$22/hrM-F 8am-5pm CSTOnsite roleTemp to perm (potential after 12 months)Job Responsibilities The main function of a lab technician is to perform routine analytical laboratory testing on hydrocarbon- or water-based samples, in support of research, development, quality objectives, and Sales support.Assist, operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure data accuracy and reliability. Execute analytical methods and experiments in accordance with approved procedures, test methods, and safety guidelines. Accurately record, analyze, and interpret analytical data, ensuring completeness, traceability, and compliance with laboratory standards. Prepare and maintain clear, well-documented records, reports, and data summaries to support technical reviews and decision-making. Communicate analytical results promptly and effectively to scientists, engineers, and Sales. Follow all laboratory safety, quality, and housekeeping practices, maintaining an organized and compliant work environment.Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and assist other Analytical SMEs. Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose anomalies in testing results and instrumentation Ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results.Education/Experience: Chemistry degree preferred. • 2-4 years’ experience preferred.
