Job DescriptionWant to put your CDL experience to work but still be home every night? B.R. Kreider & Son, Inc. is looking for a full-time licensed CDL Class A Driver/Operator Assistant in our General Excavating Department with the ability to operate a dump truck on the road and on job sites in a safe manner. Must be able to haul fill, stone, rocks; spread stone, load and unload equipment and assist with labor duties as needed.Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, matching 401K plan, paid holidays and much more!ResponsibilitiesComplete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck daily.Complete the required daily maintenance of truck.Spreads and dumps load in a smooth and safe manner.Always maintains the truck in compliance with Penn DOT regulations and follows 60-hour rule.Works together with others on the job site to accomplish tasks efficiently.Practices good safety procedures when operating all company equipment.Practices driving techniques that minimize tire, brake and clutch wear.Operates truck in a courteous and safe manner on highway.Experience & QualificationsCDL Class A License requiredTwo years of experience preferredValid Driver's LicenseMust be at least 18 years of ageKnowledge of daily pre-trip inspections and maintenanceFamiliar with the geographical area Knowledge of highway regulations and Penn DOT requirements pertaining to CDL trucksKnowledge of proper ways to secure loadsGeneral knowledge of excavating equipment to load truck when necessaryGeneral knowledge of the functions of excavating and paving
