Construction Estimator

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with project teams to ensure bids are competitive and profitable. Duties Develop comprehensive construction cost estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and blueprints using tools like Bluebeam and HeavyBid software. Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis to determine accurate project costs. Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to negotiate contracts and secure competitive pricing. Assist in scope development for projects by analyzing design documents and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities. Monitor project budgets throughout the construction process, implementing cost control measures as needed. Prepare bid proposals, ensuring all aspects of construction estimating are thoroughly addressed. Review contracts and change orders to manage project scope adjustments while maintaining profitability. Support project management teams with accurate cost forecasting and risk assessment based on construction site experience. Skills Proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam. Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and subcontractors. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, site operations, and management practices. Excellent understanding of contracts, scope development, and cost control strategies. Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately. Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Experience with project management principles to support timely project delivery within budget constraints.
