We are hiring a Production Manager for a global leader in advanced lithium-ion battery manufacturing. As a key player in the electric vehicle and clean energy industries, this company is driving innovation and sustainability across its rapidly growing US and international operations. With several major production facilities under development and a strong global presence, the organization is focused on excellence in technology, people, and performance.The RoleAs a Manager in Production, you will lead a team, including salaried staff, operators, and technicians across multiple high-volume production lines. This is a mission critical role responsible for driving production excellence, managing operations in a 24/7 facility, and ensuring that teams consistently deliver quality output at scale. The position reports to the Electrode Department Leader and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams across Quality, Technology, Equipment, and Inspection.This is a highly demanding role requiring full commitment and availability. Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day production operations across multiple automated linesManage and mentor a teamEnsure site cleanliness and organization in line with 5S3R standards (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain | Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container)Monitor KPIs, drive OEE improvements, and lead production planning activitiesConduct thorough root cause analysis and implement corrective actions using 8D methodologyManage consumables, spare parts, and repair costs to maintain manufacturing readinessEnsure production targets are met with high quality and cost efficiencyLead weekly quality review meetings and ensure cross-functional alignmentOwn the hiring, training, evaluation, and development of SPVs, crew leaders, and hourly workersConduct Layered Process Audits and foster continuous improvement at all levelsMaintain timekeeping, scheduling, and labor planning responsibilitiesCore SkillsStrong production floor leadership and people managementAutomotive manufacturing experience highly desirableIn-depth understanding of 5S, Lean manufacturing, and OEEExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesSkilled in scheduling, time management, and multitasking under pressureEffective communicator with coaching and delegation skillsHigh level of accountability and ability to deliver results in fast-paced environmentsComfortable working across time zones with international teams and headquarters
