Distribution Associate

Job Description A Birmingham medical device company is looking to add an organized and attentive Distribution Associate to their team. This is a temporary to hire role and pays $18.00 per hour. The hours are Monday - Friday 7:00 AM-5:30 PM.Responsibilities:Picking and packing finished inventory for shipment to fulfill customer orders in conjunction with customer care needsWork closely with Customer Care representatives to insure proper shipping and handling of ordersLearn to use UPS World Ship and FedEx shipping manager as it applies to domestic order fulfillmentMaintain inventory integrity through proper and accurate order fulfillmentKeep organization of inventory to satisfy lot number traceabilityMaintain productivity standards necessary to complete end of day order fulfillmentMonitoring and re-ordering of UPS shipping suppliesQualifications:Two years distribution (shipping and receiving) or inventory control experience preferredBasic Microsoft Office experience requiredInventory management software desiredMust have good written and verbal communication skills, and must be detail-orientedEducation and Experience:High school diploma or certificate required;Associate (2 year) college degree or certificate preferred.Contract assignment is approximately 3 months with opportunity for permanent hire based on proven work performance, reliability, and initiative.
