We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Hospitalist to join a dynamic inpatient care team on a locum tenens basis. Assignment DetailsStart Date:January 20, 2024 End Date:Ongoing Schedule:January 2027 February 1024 March 324Coverage Type:Inpatient Pediatrics and Newborn Nursery (Call Only) Patients Per Shift:110 Shifts:7 AM start, 7 AM end Call Response Time:30 minutes Key ResponsibilitiesRounding on both pediatric inpatients and newborns. Managing ventilation for neonates and pediatric patients (acute and chronic). Performing various procedures including intubation, lumbar punctures, central lines, UVC, UAC, chest tube insertions, and more. Handling conscious and deep sedation for pediatric cases. Interpreting X-rays, EKGs, and conducting exchange transfusions when needed. Facility DetailsTrauma Level:III Pediatrics Level:I 12-bed Pediatric wing with sub-specialty support available. Established blocked scheduling for efficient coverage. RequirementsLicense:Active WV medical license or eligibility via IMLC.
