Travel RN - Med/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring a valid MO or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of experience.Job Details• Work in the Medical/Surgical unit of a 110-bed short-term acute care hospital,• General medical and surgical patient population,• Patient ratio of 1:5-6,• Night shift schedule (7p-7:30a, 3x12-hour shifts),• Every third weekend rotation required,• Holiday rotation based on department needs,• Floating required to other units including surgical and telemetry, as well as to a sister facility (Progress West) as needed,• Block scheduling is not available,• Charting performed in Epic (experience required),• 13-week contract,Job Requirements• Active MO RN license or compact RN license valid in MO required at time of consideration,• Current BLS certification required,• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required,• Epic EMR experience required,• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility,Additional Information• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,• Charge nurse experience and chemotherapy administration experience are preferred skills,• Some orientation sessions will take place on weekdays due to limited weekend class availability,• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation,• Travelers may work at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required,• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler,• Scrub color: light gray/silver,• Free parking is available on-site
