Senior Project Manager (Electrical)
Role: Senior Project Manager (Commercial Construction)Location: (Multiple available across Texas: Irving, Houston, San Antonio, Austin)About the RoleWe are working with one of the largest Electrical Contractors' in Texas who are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from inception to completion. You will be the primary point of accountability, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in strict accordance with client functionality and quality standards.From managing the bidding process and negotiating contracts to overseeing on-site operations and safety compliance, you will act as the central link between clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Lifecycle Management: Lead planning, coordination, and control of commercial projects; manage scheduling, estimating, and resource allocation.Procurement & Contracting: Oversee the bidding process, evaluate contractor merits, negotiate contracts, and manage trade contractor selection.On-Site Leadership: Supervise subcontractors and crews to ensure design plans are implemented accurately and safety regulations are strictly followed.Financial & Quality Control: Manage project budgets, track material and labor costs, and resolve contract issues or change orders fairly and efficiently.Compliance & Reporting: Secure necessary permits, liaise with government inspectors, and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.Qualifications & SkillsEducation: Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or equivalent professional experience.Technical Expertise: Thorough knowledge of construction trades, crafts, and equipment; proficiency in blueprint reading and spatial visualization.Core Competencies: Strong supervisory skills, multitasking ability, problem-solving aptitude, and high attention to detail.Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for managing diverse stakeholders and subcontractors.Physical Requirements & EnvironmentAbility to work in various outdoor climates and navigate active construction sites (including ladders and stairways).Ability to lift/manipulate materials up to 50 lbs.Valid driver’s license for travel to and from project sites.
