EHS Specialist II

This advanced role is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and administration of the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs. The role will work closely with the EHS team to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, Daikin requirements, and to promote a culture of safety throughout the site.Location: Remote + Travel RequiredWhat you will do:Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections and audits of facilities and equipment to identify and address hazards and risksResponsible for the development and implementation of certain EHS policies, procedures, and training programsMaintaining chemical management documentation, new equipment, and approval processMonitor and analyze EHS data, trends, and metrics to identify areas of improvement and implementing of corrective actionsPreparation of EHS reports and presentations as delegatedHas the ability to lead EHS committees and teams to drive continuous improvementSupport and maintain the improvements of EMS (ISO 14001) and SMS (ISO 45001) document control and systems.Conducts or coordinates training to educate employees about safety policies, laws, and best practicesAssist in new employee orientation trainingAssists site supervisors in investigations of incidents and severe incidents to prevent recurrenceAssist in the collection of samples for different testing analysis (i.e., storm water, chemicals, etc.)Conduct risk assessments and recommend risk mitigation strategiesProvide EHS technical support and drive site specific initiative and projectsPromote Daikin's goal of zero (accidents, emissions, etc...)Stay current with federal, state, and local regulations and industry best practicesMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Health and Safety or related field2-4 years related experienceBenefits:Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:Multiple Medical insurance plan options + Dental and Vision insuranceEmployer contributed 401k up for 100% at 3% and 50% at 4-5%Company provided life insurance + optional employee paid voluntary life insurance, dependent life coverage and voluntary accident coverageShort term disability and optional employee paid voluntary long term disability120 hours paid time off for new employees, prorated based on start date88 hours company paid holidays48 hours of paid sick and safe time, prorated based on start dateTuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous serviceThe typical salary for this position ranges from $66,000 - $105,600. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
