Nicole Evans Therapy – Private Practice*Location: Remote/Virtual + In-office options (Denver, Colorado)Status: Independent Contractor or W2; Part-Time: Wed/Thursday/Fridays and Weekends (if wanted) + Telehealth→ Potential for Expanded HoursAbout Nicole Evans TherapyNicole Evans Therapy is a compassionate, person-centered private practice dedicated to supporting adults navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, dating and relationship issues, and life transitions. We integrate Person-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT), and Psychodynamic approaches with warm, authentic therapeutic presence. Sessions may be offered virtually or in person, and our practice emphasizes fostering safety, connection, and growth for each client.Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Marriage Family Therapist- Candidate (Associate) who has completed their Master’s degree in a clinical mental health field and is working toward accruing clinical hours in a private practice setting under supervision. This role is ideal for someone who values thoughtful, relational therapy and wants hands-on experience in a supportive, structured practice. This person also wants to learn the ins and outs of starting a private practice, and seeing clients both in-person and virtually.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide evidence-based individual therapy services to adults using modalities aligned with the practice (Person-Centered, CBT, Psychodynamic).Conduct intake assessments, case formulations, treatment planning, and documentation in a thorough and timely manner.Maintain organized clinical documentation, including session notes, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcome tracking.Communicate professionally and promptly with clients regarding scheduling, follow-ups, and care coordination.Collaborate with the supervisor (Nicole Evans) for clinical guidance, case reviews, and professional development.Attend regular supervision meetings and participate in ongoing training to support best practice.Demonstrate commitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and cultural humility in all client interactions.QualificationsRequired:Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT)Active Associate/MFT-C registration or eligible to accrue supervised clinical hours toward licensure in California, Colorado, or Texas.Strong written and verbal communication skills; great attention to detail.Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with the supervising clinician.Tech-savvy and comfortable using virtual platforms (teletherapy), client portals, scheduling systems, and clinical documentation software.Preferred:Previous clinical experience working with adults in individual therapy contexts.Familiarity with Person-Centered, CBT, and/or Psychodynamic frameworks.Interest or experience in supporting clients through anxiety, depression/self-esteem concerns, relationship issues, and life transitions.Professional Skills & Personal AttributesWe’re seeking someone who is:Smart, reliable, and proactive in clinical and administrative tasks.Detail-oriented, especially with documentation, client communication, and ethical practice.Compassionate and reflective, able to hold a therapeutic space with curiosity and warmth.Committed to learning and growth, open to feedback, supervision, and developing clinical competence.What You’ll GainDirect supervised clinical hours toward licensure in a private practice environment.Mentorship and professional development with an experienced LMFT licensed in 3 statesHow to start your own private practiceClients to expand your own caseloadExposure to varied client presentations and robust clinical case work.A collaborative and supportive practice culture that values integrity, curiosity, and authentic therapeutic connection.How to ApplyPlease submit the following materials to :Cover letter explaining your interest in private practice and clinical goalsResume/CVClinical experience summary1 reference (academic or professional)
