Mets Baseball & Softball Camps Coach/CounselorMets Baseball Camps is now hiring Coaches for our summer youth baseball and softball camps throughout the tri-state area.Mets Summer Camps is looking for summer camp coaches in the tri-state area who are energetic, positive, and who love to inspire our youth to make good choices and be accountable for their actions and decisions - all while having a great time! We provide the equipment, training, and curriculum. You provide the leadership that will help our campers have a wonderful learning experience and leave camp with a love of the game, new friends, better baseball/softball skills, and an appreciation for the importance of personal accountability.We have a number of different positions available for our baseball and softball camps - from Coach to Site Director - and we need a variety of coaching skill levels to enhance the experience for ages 4 through 13.Check out our website at: mets.com/campsPerks of the JobWork outdoors with young campers and connect with others who have similar interestsShare knowledge of baseball/softball with campers and enhance their Mets Camps experienceMake a positive difference in the lives of our youthHelp young people develop a love of the game and the New York MetsBe eligible for free tickets to select New York Mets home gamesParticipate in our end-of-summer rally at Citi FieldWe are looking for team members who:Have experience working with children ages 4-13Have experience coaching and/or playing baseball/softball at a high school level or higherHave a passion for teaching and providing quality leadership in an engaging and energetic wayAre able to connect with children both one-on-one and in a group settingLead by example with strong character, integrity, and a positive attitudeAre dependable and reliable; someone we can count on to be there, no matter what.Know how to have a lot of fun!!Core Responsibilities:Ensure a safe camp environment for all campersManage and motivate campers to have fun each day of campExecute New York Mets Baseball Camps Curriculum daily, under the direction of the Site DirectorProvide feedback and suggestions during drills and gamesHighlight teachable moments for campers to learn and grow fromWork together with other team members from various backgrounds to uphold the Mets Baseball Camps stellar reputationQualifications for all coaching positions:Be prepared to make a commitment Monday-Friday for approximately eight hours per day, preferably for a minimum 3-5 week commitmentMets Baseball & Softball Camps run every week from June 15, 2026 to August 21, 2026Be prepared to travel to each site with reliable transportation of your ownBe able to pass a comprehensive background screening Camp Locations include:Fairfield, CTWestport, CTStamford, CTPleasantville, NYDarien, CTMamaroneck, NYHartsdale, NYNew Canaan, CTManhattan, NYHuntington, NYBrooklyn, NYBayside, NYElmont, NYStony Brook, NYSmithtown, NYRye, NYWest Windsor, NJNorth Caldwell, NJMillburn, NJOur Interview Process:After your application is submitted, here is what you can expect next:Receive an invitation to complete a one-way interviewComplete a 15 minute virtual interview with our recruiterFinal decision!Compensation:Pay is based on skill level and experience.Professional Educator: $23.00/hour - Please note you must have at least 1 school year of paid teaching experience and/or provide proof of teaching certification in order to be eligible for this hourly wage.Coach: $19.00/hour - Please note you must have at least 2 years of professional coaching experience in baseball or softball or another sportCollege Student/Recent Graduate:$17.25/hour
