Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring high-quality standards are met while adhering to safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Perform welding tasks using FCAW and other welding techniques to fabricate components according to specifications.
Assemble metal structures and components using power tools and manual techniques.
Operate machining equipment as needed to shape materials for fabrication.
Utilize forklifts for material handling and transportation within the facility.
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding codes/standards to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.
Qualifications
Proven experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong understanding of various welding techniques including FCAW.
Proficiency in operating power tools and machinery related to fabrication processes.
Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to welding and fabrication practices.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics effectively.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to work unsupervised and complete tasks correctly
