Purpose: Looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor for our Prototype Department.Supervise and direct manufacturing personnel and resources to ensure efficient and on-time delivery of product while maintaining quality and safety standards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ability to program, assist with programing to help in the utilization and development of their direct reports and work closely with the programing department to make sure they are being fully utilized as a resource Works closely with Engineering and Quality to ensure the best methods are being utilized to improve efficiency and qualityExhibit exceptional Communication skills Assist with Identifying, developing, and implementing training opportunities for department employees to enhance skills, improve performance, and support career growthResponsible for direct management of department personnel; includes annual performance reviews, pay increases, authorization of overtime and PTO, verbal, and written disciplinary actionSupport management decision-making by communicating production goals, operational priorities, and policy changes to shop floor teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives.Plan, assign, and direct daily duties for manufacturing personnel, controls allocation of resources to maintain production deadlinesResponsible for department asset scheduling and planning adjustments such as expediting operations which have fallen behind scheduleProvide proactive communication with Management, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and other support functions to prevent unforeseen events which may contribute to manufacturing delays and/or quality issuesBe available for and manage daily shift turn-overParticipate in the recruiting, hiring and training of new employeesParticipates in SOP and safety trainingEnsure that all employees work in accordance with company SOPs and industry standardsEnsure that there is always a clean and safe work environment which meets medical device and OSHA standardsMust have a full understanding of policies and procedures and complianceExecute setup and/or operation of manufacturing equipmentEnsure equipment preventive maintenance and daily housekeeping standards are completedLead by example; accountable for their actions and the actions of their direct reportsEducation and Experience:Associate Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 3 years of experience in supervisory or management role in a manufacturing environmentJob Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong leadership, communication, motivation, and organizational skillsStrong analytical skills and the ability to express concepts effectively, both written and verbal.Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work in a highly dynamic and growing environmentDetail oriented with a high level of emphasis on accuracy and completenessMust be familiar with and be able to read mechanical (machining) drawings and specifications.Must have a solid grasp of manufacturing workflow and machining processesPhysical Demands:Light to moderate physical exertion requiredLifting/carrying maximum 50 lbs.Frequent lbs.: 1-10Regularly required to stand, reach, and move about the facilityAdditional NotesARCH Global Precision is an Equal Opportunity Employee and wholeheartedly supports diversity in the workplace as a basic premise for business success.
