Development Director – Community Solar Mid-Atlantic (DMV, NY, NJ)Competitive Package: $220,000+ total compensationA leading, well-capitalized renewable energy developer is seeking a senior-level solar professional to drive project development across the Mid-Atlantic region.This is a critical, market-facing role with primary focus in Maryland and the wider DMV, alongside active pipelines in New York and New Jersey. The position offers full ownership of regional development strategy and execution, with direct visibility to executive leadership.Key Responsibilities:Lead the origination, development, and execution of solar projects across the Mid-AtlanticDrive pipeline growth through land acquisition, partnerships, and strategic deal-makingNavigate permitting, interconnection, and regulatory processes across multiple jurisdictionsEngage directly with landowners, utilities, local authorities, and internal stakeholdersAdvance projects through the full lifecycle from early-stage origination to NTPRequirements:Proven track record in solar project development (utility-scale and/or distributed generation)Deep understanding of Mid-Atlantic markets, particularly Maryland, DMV, New York, and New JerseyStrong commercial acumen with experience structuring and closing development dealsAbility to operate at a senior level in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environmentThe Opportunity: This is a high-impact role within a growth-focused platform that is actively expanding its footprint across key U.S. solar markets.
