Through thoughtful care and a strong internal culture, The Trauma Academy Northwest strives to make trauma treatment accessible, effective, and grounded in trust.About The OpportunityA position within The Trauma Academy Northwest, supporting clinical programs that deliver trauma-focused mental healthcare. This on-site role drives revenue integrity and billing accuracy across clinical services and training encounters.Role & ResponsibilitiesPrepare, submit, and follow up on clean claims to commercial and Medicaid payers using the practice management system.Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes by reviewing clinical documentation and ensuring correct modifier usage and medical necessity.Manage accounts receivable: monitor aging, perform AR follow-up, and resolve unpaid or underpaid claims to improve cash flow.Research and appeal denials and claim rejections; create consistent documentation for appeals and coordinate with payers for timely resolution.Post payments and EOBs, reconcile daily payments against remittance advice, and prepare adjustments/refunds as needed.Collaborate with clinical staff and payers to clarify documentation, obtain authorizations, and support billing audits while maintaining HIPAA compliance.Skills & QualificationsMust-HaveICD-10-CMCPT codingHCPCS codingEHR systemsClearinghouse platformsDenial managementPreferredAccounts receivable reconciliationHIPAA complianceBenefits & Culture HighlightsOn-site role with structured onboarding and opportunities for continuing education in trauma care billing.Collaborative team environment focused on accuracy, compliance, and continuous revenue-cycle improvement.Location & Work HoursCity: Salem, OregonWork Hours: Flexible.
