Machine Operator

Job Description Responsibilities of the Machine Operator: Build and repair tools, dies, fixtures, and components Set up and safely operate manual machining equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, and band saws Perform preventative maintenance on toolroom equipment Read and interpret blueprints, design specifications, and part drawings Utilize measuring devices including micrometers, calipers, Go/No-go gauges, and indicators Assist Toolmakers with projects and tooling support as neededMaking sure you fit the guidelines as an applicant for this role is essential, please read the below carefully.Qualifications of the Machine Operator: Previous machining or toolroom experience required Experience operating manual machining equipment required Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings required Experience with surface grinders, lathes, mills, drill presses, die cast, injection molding machine, and band saws preferred Must be able to lift up to 25lbs regularly and up to 100lbs occasionally with assistanceCompany Description Summit Careers Inc is a full-service staffing and recruiting company.
