Process Attendant -KilnWe are looking for a Process Attendant to join our Midlothian, TX plant. As a Process Attendant with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials you will perform housekeeping duties, routinely inspecting and lubricating machinery, collects measurements and samples, and assists Pyro Process Operator and Process Assistants as needed.Why apply?Competitive wages.Opportunities for overtime.Company provided benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Company paid life and disability benefits, paid vacation, and 401K.Responsibilities:Inspects and lubricates plant machinery.Assist Pyro Process Operator as needed to maintain proper function of equipment.Perform inspections on Roller Mill system and raw feed systems document status.Assist Tower Attendant when necessary to help remove plugs/build-ups.Shoot coating and/or other build-ups in kiln via kiln gun.Assists with kiln repairs when needed.Other duties as directed by the supervisor.We Require:High school diploma or GED.Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in the English language.Must be able to read & understand operations and maintenance manuals, drawings, and schematics.Knowledge of roller mill system preferable.Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in the English language.Preferred knowledge of all types of equipment used in the manufacturing of cement.Knowledge of hazards associated with areas of responsibility.Must be able to operate a forklift, skid steer loader, and man-lift when necessary.Work in all weather and environmental conditions.Ability to see and hear safety indicators and warningsAbility to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time (up to 12 hrs.)Walk on all types of surfaces (uneven and/or slippery ground)Climb stairs and ladders as high as 200 feet in elevationPhysical ability to climb on equipmentMust be able to walk long distances, climb ladders, stairs, and stockpiles, stoop, and crawl under and into enclosed spacesDrive automobiles to various plant sites and work locations. Must be able to travel (air/auto) overnight as neededMust work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, dry, and/or dusty conditions and near hot kiln processWill have exposure to all levels of noise that require the use of hearing protectionExposure to cement, clay, limestone, and various lab chemicals.About UsEach day brings new challenges, and we make sure you are prepared for it all.
