Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance SupervisorHouston, TexasA pediatric healthcare organization is seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to support facility operations and Environment of Care initiatives within a hospital setting. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-maintained environment for patients, staff, and visitors.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building maintenance, preventative maintenance programs, life safety systems, and healthcare facility operations.ResponsibilitiesOversee maintenance and Environment of Care department projects as assigned by leadershipCoordinate and manage project timelines, supplies, vendors, and contractorsMaintain project budgets and assist with cost control effortsParticipate in the department’s weekend on-call rotation scheduleEnsure the facility and grounds remain safe, clean, and in good repairIdentify and immediately report unsafe conditions, hazardous situations, or defective equipmentComplete preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on facility equipment and systemsEnsure compliance with building codes, licensing standards, ADA guidelines, and safety regulationsMonitor and maintain critical facility systems including:Fire alarm systemsFire dampersFire doorsWater temperaturesBackflow inspectionsGrease trap maintenanceParticipate in safety committee meetings and emergency preparedness activitiesDemonstrate strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and preventative maintenance skillsMaintain knowledge of proper chemical usage and facility safety proceduresSupport department staffing needs through scheduling flexibilityPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of two (2) years of related building maintenance experience requiredExperience in plumbing, electrical, painting, and general building repairs preferredKnowledge of building codes, licensing standards, life safety requirements, and ADA guidelines requiredPrevious healthcare or hospital maintenance experience preferredBasic computer skills requiredStrong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilitiesAbility to work independently and respond effectively in emergency situationsWhat We OfferCompetitive compensationComprehensive benefits packagePaid time off and holiday payCareer advancement opportunitiesCollaborative and mission-driven work environmentOpportunity to support pediatric healthcare operations in a meaningful wayIf you are a motivated maintenance professional looking to grow your career in healthcare facility operations, we encourage you to apply.
