Senior Structural Engineer

Job Title: Senior Structural EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our Power & Industrial & Buildings group. You will work within a multi-discipline team to develop efficient and reliable structural design packages for power generation facilities. This position offers flexibility, allowing you to work in-office or in a hybrid setting at one of our office locations throughout the United States.Responsibilities+ Develop structural designs for new power generation facilities or retrofit existing ones.+ Design concrete and structural steel support structures, including foundation design for combustion and steam turbine dynamic analysis.+ Collaborate on the design of control buildings and ancillary structures.+ Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, and OSHA.+ Utilize software such as Smartplant, Revit, Tekla, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD for structural design and drafting.Essential Skills+ Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering.+ Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil and structural designs for power generation facilities, particularly thermal power.+ Proficiency with FEM structural analysis programs such as RISA or STAAD.+ Strong understanding of dynamic analysis and seismic response spectra analysis.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Experience with Smartplant 3D, Revit, Tekla, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.+ Strong client focus with excellent interpersonal communication skills.+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take ownership of projects.+ Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows, and MS Outlook.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is flexible, with options for fully remote work. Candidates local to office locations are preferred, and there is a preference for those in the West Coast timezone, though candidates across the country, including those with TN-Visa/Status, are welcome.
