Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the data architecture for the NECS organization. In this role you will design, build and deploy analytics solutions that impact decision-making and drive measurable business outcomes. This role will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, business analysts, and technical teams to define and shape NECS’s data strategy.
Responsibilities
Data Architecture & Engineering
Design and maintain data warehouse structures, schemas, models, and supporting pipelines.
Oversee end‑to‑end data pipeline development, including ingestion, transformation, and storage.
Build and optimize scalable data pipelines and transformation processes.
Data Governance & Quality
Ensure data quality, lineage, and security across the entire data lifecycle.
Implement and monitor data governance standards, lineage tracking, and compliance policies.
Collaboration & Strategy
Partner with subject matter experts to gather requirements and document data needs.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on analytics solution design.
Manage partner relationships supporting the Data Transformation strategy.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field preferred; candidates with demonstrated experience and relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Databricks, SQL) will also be considered
Experience with Azure cloud data services including Data Factory, Databricks, ADLS, Synapse, and SQL-based systems
Experience with Power BI, Python, and similar analytical tools
Strong SQL skills and working with large datasets
Experience working cross-functional projects with diverse stakeholders and needs
Experience in Agile/SCRUM product development methodologies
Proficiency with process-mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Miro).
