With a total contract value of more than $2 billion, this project is one of the region's most significant infrastructure efforts. We are seeking a Project Controls Manager who can bring strong cost discipline, field awareness, and financial insight to help keep this work on track.The OpportunityThis is a high-impact opportunity for a project controls professional who wants to take ownership of cost performance on a major civil construction project. You will work closely with field leadership and project management to make sure job costs, forecasting, reporting, and financial visibility stay aligned with production. For someone who wants meaningful responsibility, daily interaction with operations, and the chance to influence outcomes on a landmark project, this role offers that platform.What You'll DoOwn job cost tracking and field cost control for I-81 Viaduct Project Phase 2, Contract 6, ensuring costs are captured accurately and reported in a timely, useful way.Partner with superintendents, project managers, and field teams to monitor production, track quantities, review labor and equipment costs, and identify cost risks early.Prepare and maintain cost reports, forecasts, budget-to-actual analysis, and other project performance reporting for project leadership.Support committed cost tracking, change management, and forecasting to give the team a clear view of current position and projected financial outcomes.Use HCSS HeavyJob and Vista to help maintain cost accuracy, reporting discipline, and alignment between field operations and accounting.Work closely with the Deputy Project Manager to improve cost visibility, strengthen accountability, and support informed decision-making across the project.What Success Looks LikeWithin the first 6 to 12 months, success in this role will likely include:Establishing reliable cost reporting that gives the project team a clear, timely view of current performance and forecasted results.Improving alignment between field production, quantities installed, labor and equipment costs, and accounting data.Identifying cost trends and budget variances early enough for the team to take corrective action before issues grow.Becoming a trusted resource to operations and leadership by turning project and financial data into practical insight.Helping the project team maintain stronger cost discipline across a large, active, and highly visible infrastructure job.What We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone who can manage project costs with accuracy and consistency while working effectively with field and project leadership. Strong candidates will typically bring:At least 5 years of experience in leading project controls, job cost management, project accounting, or construction cost tracking on large scale projects.Experience supporting large construction, heavy civil, highway, bridge, or infrastructure projects.Strong understanding of budgets, forecasting, cost reporting, committed costs, and project financial controls.Working knowledge of HCSS HeavyJob and Vista, or the ability to become effective in those systems quickly.The ability to communicate clearly with both field teams and management and to raise concerns with confidence and professionalism.A detail-oriented, accountable approach and the judgment to operate effectively in a fast-paced field environment.Preferred But Not Required CCP, PSP, EVP, PMP, CPA, or similar credentials in project controls, cost management, scheduling, or project delivery.Degree in business, accounting, construction management, finance, or a related fieldAdditional hands-on experience with costing systems and construction accounting softwareCompensation And BenefitsThis is a full-time salaried position.
