We offer a competitive starting wage along with regular increases, weekly bonuses, and a complete benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, an impressive 401K match, and much more!Areas of AccountabilityAll areas of accountability to be delivered with GRIT - our values of Generosity, Relationships, Integrity, and TeamworkSystems & Controls Technicians are responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on automation systemsEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement automation systems to improve efficiency and productivityReplace system equipment such as HMI, System Logic, motor drives, and Safety Logic as neededCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunitiesManage system software, controls, drives, and module projects from conception to completionPerform routine maintenance and preventative testing on automation systems and motor controlsRead, troubleshoot, and repair equipment wiring according to OEM schematicsProvide backup support to Plant Maintenance Technicians, as neededSituations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description. Employees may be requested to work additional hours and/or accommodate a heavier than normal work load.QualificationsQualificationsDegree in SCADA, electronics and controls, or related field, preferredExperience in automation technology and project management in a manufacturing environment; Studio 5000 preferredStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailKnowledge of safety procedures including but not limited to: lockout tagout, confined space entry, line opening, fall protection, and hot workAccurately read and understand signs, labels, warnings, directions, operator manuals, service manuals, and wiring schematics associated with the maintenance and/or operation of instruments and equipmentEffectively communicate with supervisors and co-workers and follow written and/or verbal instructionsTolerance of varying environmental conditions – heat, cold, and/or wet and slippery conditionsOccasionally lift up to 60 lbs. from floor to waist levelFrequently bend at the waist and/or kneesAbility to stand for long periods of time – up to 10-12 hours a dayAbility to distinguish colors (i.e., wire codes)Ability to work additional hours on short notice to fill in for an absent co-worker, accommodate a heavier than normal workload, or to assist with special projects
